A new website, a new design and more new features than ever before: this release is the biggest update in Sim-Department’s history. We have been building software for commercial sim racing since 2016, and today it runs at more than 300 locations and centers worldwide. Here is what’s new.
Live telemetry
Every lap is recorded with telemetry. Operators and drivers see live on screen where time is lost: braking points, throttle, steering, speed. Deep View lets you compare two drivers directly. More about SD Management
Sync tool
New cars, tracks or settings reach every simulator in the center with one click. No more copying from PC to PC, no simulator left on an old version.
Traffic server
AI traffic on the track: the server assistant sets up a server with traffic in a few steps. You pick the traffic cars by category, from GT3 to road cars.
Hot Pursuit
Cops vs. runners. The police chase fugitives through AI traffic, and the car a driver picks decides the role. Runners score points for every second they stay free, cops for every bust. Scores add up over all rounds and appear in the portal and the driver profile.
Pitlane app
The new driver app for sim racing centers: one profile, every lap time from every connected center, rankings, telemetry and online booking. Centers can join the network on pitlane.gg or run Pitlane as their own app on their own domain. More about the Pitlane app
SD Hotlap for 9 sims
Lap time challenges for trade shows, showrooms and events: participants sign up via QR code and their best laps go live on the leaderboard. SD Hotlap supports Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa EVO, Assetto Corsa Rally, Le Mans Ultimate, iRacing, F1 (EA Sports), Automobilista 2, DiRT Rally 2.0 and rFactor 2. More about hotlap mode
SD Racecentral with leagues and online booking
Racecentral takes your center’s lap times online in seconds. New: a ready-to-run league system for championships, plus online booking, which used to be a separate module. More about SD Racecentral
Online event booking
Events can now be put together right on the website: choose the simulation, add software modules, rent simulators if needed and see the price instantly. The quote comes as a PDF for internal approval. Go to event booking
Pay at the simulator
SD Kiosk turns the simulator into a self-service station: pay by card at the Nayax terminal or online via QR code. Sit down, pay, drive. More about SD Kiosk
The new website
sim-department.eu has been rebuilt from scratch: every module at a glance, cars & tracks, a knowledge base with guides and a world map of the centers running our software. And all of it is now available in English.
Thanks to every center, partner and driver whose feedback carried us through this year. Without you, half of these features would not exist.
